A: No, however we suggest speaking with your service provider about the coverage you may have to continue therapy beyond the sessions Righteous Roots provides.
Q: How many sessions are covered by Righteous Roots?
A: With an approved profile, ten sessions are provided to each individual, free of charge.
Q: Is this program only for first-time therapy seekers?
A: No.
Q: Is there a way to have more sessions covered?
A: Although Righteous Roots covers ten sessions per individual, there are resources outside of Righteous Roots that may assist with mental wellness costs.
Q: How are my sessions free of charge?
A: We’ve partnered with BetterHelp, an online portal that provides direct-to-consumer access to mental health services.
Q: Can I apply to the program multiple times?
A: We are currently only allowing access to the program once per person, as we would like to help as many people as possible.
Q: Are family sessions covered with the program?
A: Currently, individual-only sessions are provided. The best way to stay updated on expanded resources is to join our email list here [insert link].
Q: Is group therapy offered?
A: While Righteous Roots provides individual-only sessions, the providers may have group therapy options to explore after individual sessions are exhausted.
Q: Are the therapists licensed?
A: Yes, all service providers are licensed professionals.
Q: What should I do if I have thoughts of harming myself or others?
A: Please seek immediate assistance by calling 9-1-1.
Q: How are sessions with my therapist conducted?
A: You will have the option to engage with your mental health professional in person, over the telephone, video call and by text.
Q: Is the information provided to your therapist confidential?
A: Check out BetterHelp’s guidelines for confidentiality here.
Q: How long does it take to be approved for the program?
A: We review all completed accounts for approval within seven business days.

Q: What other forms of donations do we accept?
A: In-kind donations for services, such a therapy or dietician services, are greatly appreciated. For this type of donation, please fill out our contact form with “In-Kind Services” in the subject line and we will respond with more information.
Product donations, such as new hygiene supplies for our homeless community and other similar donations, are also accepted. Please fill out our contact form with “Product Donation” in the subject line and we will respond with more information.
Scholarships
Q: Is there an age requirement to apply for the scholarship?
A: Scholarship applicants must be high school juniors, seniors, college freshmen, or college sophomores.
Q: How will I be notified about the status of my application?
A: Recipients of the scholarships will be notified by email, mail, and phone.
Q: Are awarded funds made payable to me or my institution?
A: Awards are paid directly to the recipient.
Q: Can I apply multiple times?
A: Yes. Multiple applications are accepted. However, an individual is only eligible to win one scholarship from Righteous Roots.
Q: Can I apply for multiple scholarship opportunities?
A: Yes. However, applicants will only be awarded one scholarship from Righteous Roots.
Q: How long does it take to receive awarded funds?
A: After contact with the scholarship recipient, a check will be sent by certified mail and should arrive in 7-10 business days.
We can also provide the award via ACH.
Straight to the Root
Q: How can I be featured?
A: Someone may submit a referral, detailing why you would be a good fit to be featured. Righteous Roots may also reach out to you, unsolicited, based on something we saw regarding you or your product.
Q: Can I advertise in Straight to the Root™?
